Measuring Body Fat
Body fat percentage is the total mass of fat divided by total body mass. It includes essential body fat and storage body fat.
This calculator uses the US Navy Method, which relies on specific body measurements (waist, neck, height, and hips for women) to estimate body fat percentage. It is considered one of the most accurate ways to measure body fat at home.
How to Measure
- Waist: Measure at the naval (belly button).
- Neck: Measure just below the Adam's apple.
- Hips (Women only): Measure at the widest part of the buttocks.
