We’re building a future where someone is always paying attention to your health.

Hi, I’m Francis. I created BodyBuddy after more than a decade as a software engineer at companies such as Epic Systems, NerdWallet, and Dropbox.

Our philosophy

Imagine a family member with all the time in the world for your health. They’d remember your goals, ask if you made it to the gym, recall what your doctor said, and help you through the healthcare system. That’s what we’re building.

Start with the person. Build around their health.

Health support should start with how you feel, what matters to you, and the life you want. Healthcare serves that bigger picture, with support that continues between appointments.

You are the customer

Most health companies serve an insurer or an employer, so the person using the product is not the one paying for it. You pay for BodyBuddy, so BodyBuddy works for you: your goals, your privacy, your follow-through.

Accountability inward. Advocacy outward.

You might come for help eating better, moving more, or sticking to a plan. We hope you stay for the advocacy: finding the right care, preparing for appointments, and following through after.

What BodyBuddy does

BodyBuddy is an AI health accountability coach that helps you follow through on your health goals and plans over daily texts.

Daily accountability over text

BodyBuddy checks in on your day, helps you plan what’s next, and follows up on what you commit to, from meals to movement to sleep.

Follow-through on your health plans

Bring a plan from your doctor, physical therapist, dietitian, or trainer, or build one with BodyBuddy. Photos, documents, and appointment recordings become daily action items.

Food and activity logging through conversation

Text a meal, send a photo, or leave a voice note, and BodyBuddy logs it with nutrition estimates. Movement and sleep count too. The companion app shows your progress and syncs Apple Health.

A place for your health context

Your concerns, plans, and visit notes live in one place, so you know what’s been happening and what to bring up next.

How it starts

Step 1: Tell BodyBuddy what brought you here

Text BodyBuddy or start in the companion app. Share what you want help with, what’s in the way, and any plans you follow.

Step 2: Set up your daily rhythm

Pick your check-in windows and preferences. For account help, the human team is at support@bodybuddy.app.

Step 3: Keep the conversation going

Text anytime and answer your check-ins. BodyBuddy helps you review the day and plan what’s next. Replies are automated, and timing can vary.

Who it’s for

People who want help with the daily work of taking care of themselves:

Adults who know the habits they want and need daily help following through.
People working on food, movement, sleep, or weight who’d rather text than keep a log.
People with a plan from a doctor, physical therapist, dietitian, or trainer who want accountability between visits.
People managing ongoing health concerns who want notes, plans, and daily context in one place.

Trust and privacy

Helping with your health means earning a place in your life. We aim to build the most private, secure product we can. We keep what makes coaching personal, like your goals, plans, and past conversations, and we’re careful about what we collect and how long we keep it.

Clear boundaries

We don’t sell your personal information or share consumer health data for advertising. We don’t use your appointment recordings, transcripts, imported documents, or health condition notes to train or improve AI models.

Encrypted, and yours to delete

Your data is encrypted in transit, and sensitive records like visit summaries and transcripts are encrypted at rest. Delete your account and your record, conversations, and recordings are deleted from our systems.

You choose what you share

Record-sharing links are opt-in: you pick the topics, your texts stay out, and you can turn a link off anytime. Ask support to access or delete your health data, or to withdraw consent.

Open about how it works

BodyBuddy uses AI and service providers to deliver coaching. Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy cover those providers, when authorized team members may review flagged conversations, and your rights.
